Gopal, Raghu, lakshmi & I went to Doddamakali Nature Camp over the weekend. It's a jungle lodge on the banks of Kaveri around 140 KM from Bangalore. Other than enjoying the greenery, you can sip on Kingfisher Premium Lager Beer, and JD jump into the waters of Kaveri, play volleyball with A***Y, and do a bit of fishing....
Onward JourneyThe route is pretty straightforward
Head towards the Mysore .
Take the left in madhur heading towards Malvali road.
Proceed around 30 KM on Malvali and you will see a board saying "Doddamkali Fishing Camp" and asking you to take a left. Follow the board's directions.
Enjoy the beautiful Malvali Road with enjoying the greenery.....
Head another 10 KM and you will reach near the camp
last 2 to 3 KM are especially treacherous as it is all down hill. Raghu managed the car till the last moment , when We saw the camp; exulted...by that time it was 2 PM we r all hungry and we had nice food in resort and enjoyed lot with beer........
First Day in camp:
Camp is set on the banks of the Kaveri river. On the other bank one can see hills and lot of greenery. The river itself has lots of rocks; lending more to the sexy scenerys...with... s*** a***y.. :-)
There are 10 sexy tented cottages. Each of which can be occupied by 3 peoples. The tents houses also have attached bathrooms with toliet . We booked the accomodation with the help off prethi who works in jungel resorts LTD..MG Road Thanks to her for provide such a nice cottages...to us
After checking in, we had nice lunch and then the first order of business was beer. The camp provides Foster's at Rs 110/. We had nice beer while enjoying the view till few hours then we headed towords water to catch fish as well as A****..... :-)
At 5:00 PM we went for Tea/Coffee. coffee was made from instant coffee powder it was not so good but managable with biscuits.
After that we went to Corakel Ride guide took us through some part of the river and enjoyed that drive aslo.
After ride we headed back to our Huts and started JD silently by that time it was 6 and snacks. resort Guys put Bonfire around 6:30 PM, and they were served Bhajji, and Hot nice chicken and egg Burji also for our drinks there was JD,beer and bacardi Brezzer as well with cards.... and it went up to till 2 PM night... in between we had nice dinner as well and before only we have requested to resort manager that we need mango rice.... they prepared it also and we had very nicely.....
Second day's activities:
Morning we waked up by 6:30 by the time hot coffee was ready we had it... no so good but no other options so we had it....then few off them went for treck... but we all had hangover so we have not gone we wear watching nice greenery sitting in front off hut only.....by 8:30 AM they serverd breakfast it was very good taste we had nice idly voda and omlet..... and had lemon juice also.... after that ...
as we had to check out at 11 AM but we did by 12 PM.....and started back .The main worried was the last 3 KM uphill stretch which was covered with lot off hair pin curver and lot off stones. We came back by same route as we did while coming; took a couple of breaks in between; had lunch in kamath hotel near ramanagar it was nice and enjoyed food there also; and finally reached back at around about 4:00 PM.
